Communiqué of the European Network of Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution, of which FAI is a member:
The more than 80 organizations that make up the European Network of Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution want to denounce before the peoples of the world the pretension of the international right, in agreement with Venezuelan opponents and the well-known Grupo de Lima, to ignore the will of the Venezuelan people to vote expressed in the ballot boxes through a democratic and transparent electoral process endorsed by international organizations where 67.84% of the votes elected the renewal of the constitutional mandate of President Nicolas Maduro for January 2019. More than 6,248,000 Venezuelans supported this option against other opposition adversaries such as Henry Falcón, Javier Bertucci and Reinaldo Quijada. They base their arguments on trying to delegitimize the National Constituent Assembly, which was also elected by more than 8 million votes.
legal framework gives him that power.
In 20 years, the Bolivarian Revolution has carried out 25 electoral processes demonstrating the democratic and participatory character in which the Venezuelan people have been able to express their will and exercise their sovereignty as such. Thus, this is part of other maneuvers that are intended to carry out, as a measure of international pressure, in addition to sanctions, the economic, financial and commercial blockade, with the intention of continuing to drown and affect the Venezuelan people. We do not forget what they did in other progressive processes such as in Honduras, Brazil and Argentina. We are alert and reiterate our unconditional support in the defense of the Venezuelan people.
For all these reasons, we join this denunciation and invite you to support, this coming January 10, 2019, from each of our countries, peoples or corners, the Venezuelan popular vote and accompany it in the swearing in of President Nicolas Maduro.
RESPECT FOR THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE PEOPLE!
RESPECT FOR THE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE!
