Apart from the global analysis, Spanish role in this imperialist conglomerate has been evaluated: being left without military sovereignty it participates in 15 “missions” abroad serving US interests. Spanish weapons industry’s sales is among the top 10 European countries with increase of 133% sales to Saudi Arabia (weapons used to commit massacres in Yemen).
Ángeles also pointed out that the concept of “peace being for women, and war being for men” is incorrect since women are also involved as warriors, militias, military officers, just as many men have taken the lead of the peace movements.
The conference concludes with a proposal of construction of an Anti-Imperialist Front with a gender-race perspective to reinforce solidarity across the globe giving the priority to the regions where the imperialism projects it’s aggressive nature.
